The Cubiscan 1200-AKL is our largest format dimensioner. With floor, wall or ceiling-mounted configurations, pallet dimensioning just became a whole lot easier. The Cubiscan 1200-AKL is a large-format scanning device designed to measure pallets and other large objects. The 1200-AKL can work in conjunction with a floor scale or as a stand-alone measurement system when weight is not required. Overhead-mounted sensors provide a comprehensive view of the freight measurement area while allowing access from any direction. Additionally, the ceiling-mounted configuration provides protection against equipment damage in high-traffic, cross-dock facilities. Freight can be measured in virtually any orientation, shape, color, or packing material.
The Cubiscan 1200-AKL utilizes Class 1 infrared laser-sensing technology that is safe for both operators and freight. Two laser scanners are fixed to parallel guides that pass over the freight–normally taking five seconds. The 1200-AKL is capable of measuring from 6″ to 8′ x 8′ x 9′ (2.5 x 2.5 x 2.75 meters) in its standard configuration. Measurement resolution is ± 0.5 inches (10mm) on length, width, and height. Larger, customized versions of the system are also available.
The CS 1200-AKL comes with a panel-mounted PC controller, touchscreen monitor, and integrated data collection software. The Cubiscan 1200-AKL can process multi-piece shipments, initiate parcel tracking tasks, and prepare DIM weight data. That data is then transferred to the customer’s WMS. A high-resolution, digital camera and special software module can be integrated to allow for convenient and reliable documentation of freight damage. Finally, the system can be programmed to work with a wide variety of floor-scale and digital display units. Barcode label scanning and printing devices can also be used with the 1200-AKL to create a turnkey cubing, weighing, and tracking workstation.
The Cubiscan 1200-AKL is a type-approved (Legal-for-Trade) dimensioning device per NTEP (US), OIML/MID (EU) and NMI (AU).
