Configurations
With floor, wall or ceiling mounting configurations, pallet measurement has become much easier. Large format scanning systems designed for measuring pallets and other large objects can work in conjunction with floor scales or as a stand-alone measurement system when weight measurement is not required. The sensors mounted above the head provide a comprehensive view of the measuring area of the goods, while allowing access from any direction. In addition, the ceiling-mounted configuration provides protection against damage to equipment in high-traffic docking installations. The goods can be measured in virtually any orientation, shape, color or packaging material.
Cubiscan systems use Class 1 infrared laser detection technology, which is safe for both operators and freight, making it possible to customize the system.
Information immediately available in WMS
Cubiscan large format systems come with a panel-mounted PC controller, touch screen monitor and integrated data collection software. Cubiscan systems can process multi-piece shipments, initiate parcel tracking tasks and prepare DIM weight data. This data is then transferred to the client's WMS. A high-resolution digital camera and a special software module can be integrated to allow convenient and reliable documentation of transport damage. Finally, the system can be programmed to operate with a wide range of scale and digital display units. Barcode label scanning and printing devices can also be used with the Cubiscan system to create a workstation for cubing, weighing and turnkey tracking.
