Printing Technology

Label printers use direct thermal or thermal transfer printing. Direct thermal technology involves the use of special labels made of heat-sensitive paper. The lifespan of these labels is 6-12 months, if they are kept in optimal conditions. Thermal transfer means that the printer uses a ribbon, a printing roll which when subjected to heat process, transfers the ink to the label. These labels have a longer life span.
