Dermalog fingerprint scanners rely on advanced optical systems that capture images at exceptional quality, certified according to the BSI-TR-03104 standard, with the possibility to scan either one finger, two fingers or the entire palm, depending on the size the scanner and by the default scan window, some models including integrated liveness detection.

The scan takes place extremely fast, the image having maximum quality even if the fingers are wet or very dry, without the need to use the reference images. Other options include, the possibility of detecting blood circulation, scanning window that captures the signature or scanning of identity documents - passport, identity card, automatic fingerprint segmentation modules, etc.
